AJ Riley:

AJ is a 26 year old professional race car driver currently racing for Riley Racing in the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge ST class in a Mazda RX-8.

His racing career began at age 12 racing Briggs & Stratton 4cycle karts and eventually moved up to 125CC Shifter Karts.  AJ first competed in cars in the 2005 Skip Barber Regional series, winning a race and earning the title of “Rookie of the Year.” The following season he became the Skip Barber Regional Champion with 4 wins and 11 podium finishes from 12 race starts. In 2007, he moved up to the highly-competitive Skip Barber National championship, racing against the likes of such drivers as Ricky Taylor, Josef Newgarden, and Conor Daly. With 2 wins and 6 podiums, AJ finished 3rd in the championship.
In 2008 he became a pro driver in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series racing for Riley Racing in a Mazda RX-8 alongside his brother, Jameson Riley. As the team was unable to compete for the 2009 season due to budget contraints, AJ traveled to Belgium to race the 25 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps FunCup along with Jameson & two other teammates, earning a podium position with a 3rd in class finish.
AJ is also a long-distance runner who competes in half-marathons and marathons nationwide.
